How a Telehealth Health Assessment Works at RegenX

Most people who reach out to us have questions about the process before they start. What happens to your answers? Who reviews them? How long does it take before anything arrives? How does a compounded formulation even work?

Here is a straightforward walkthrough of what happens from start to finish.

Step 1: The health assessment

The starting point is a free online health assessment. It takes under two minutes. It covers your health history, current symptoms, goals, medications, and relevant lifestyle factors.

This is not a quiz with a predetermined outcome. It is the intake document your practitioner reads before they look at anything else about you. The more honestly you complete it, the more useful the review.

Step 2: Practitioner review

An AHPRA-registered Australian practitioner reviews your assessment personally. Not an algorithm. Not a checklist system. A qualified clinician reads what you have written and evaluates it against your health history.

Based on this review, one of three things happens:

  1. The practitioner determines pathology is needed before a protocol can be designed. You will receive a pathology request, which you can take to any pathology centre in Australia. This step is common for hormonal, metabolic, and body composition protocols where blood markers are essential to designing the right approach.

  2. The practitioner has enough information to proceed and will outline a recommended approach with a telehealth consultation to walk through it.

  3. The assessment indicates the service is not the right fit for your specific situation. If that is the case, we will say so clearly and suggest appropriate next steps.

Step 3: Protocol design

Once the practitioner has a complete picture, they design your protocol. This is individual to you. It is based on your assessment findings, your blood markers (if taken), your goals, and your health history.

The protocol specifies the therapeutic formulations to be authorised, the approach, the dosing schedule, and the monitoring plan.

Step 4: Pharmacy authorisation and compounding

Your protocol is sent to a licensed Australian compounding pharmacy. The formulations are individually prepared to your practitioner’s specifications, not pulled off a shelf.

Compounded formulations are prepared in accordance with Australian pharmaceutical standards. Every batch is traceable to your protocol.

Step 5: Delivery

Your formulations are shipped directly to your door. Delivery timeframes are estimated and may vary depending on your location. Temperature-sensitive formulations are shipped with appropriate cold-chain packaging.

Each delivery includes clear instructions and your practitioner’s contact details for any questions.

Step 6: Ongoing monitoring

Your protocol does not stop when your first delivery arrives. Your AHPRA-registered practitioner reviews your progress at regular intervals. This review is based on your check-in responses, any new pathology, and how you are progressing.

Protocols are adjusted as your situation evolves. If your response is strong, your approach may be refined. If something is not working as expected, your practitioner investigates why.

A note on what this is not

This service is not a pharmacy where you select products. It is not an online quiz with a standard outcome. Every protocol requires practitioner review and authorisation. If your assessment does not support a therapeutic intervention, the practitioner will not authorise one.

That is the point. It is a clinical service with qualified oversight, not a supplement shop with extra steps.
